Despite cloudy skies and the threat of rain, Maungawhau's Fair 2011 raised an impressive $81,000 for the school.  Staff, students and parents all pitched in to create a wonderful variety of stalls and activities for the community.

The return of many classic stalls, including the White Elephant, Quick Fire Raffle, Sausage Sizzle, Chocolate Demise, and Cakes, satisfied loyal fairgoers.  This year's fair also included a few new stalls and entertainment for the community, including Fresh Flowers, Jolly Jars, and performances by an ex-Maungawhau student.

The school library remained open to welcome anyone interested in learning more about Maungawhau's Centenary celebration scheduled for March 2012.  Visitors could register online as well as explore the archive photo display set up for the day.

More photos of the excitement can be found on the School Fair page.
