A sincere and very warm welcome to Maungawhau School's website. Maungawhau School is a beautiful school with a history of almost a century. We enjoy a reputation for high academic outcomes and take a pride in the wide variety of extra curricular activities that are offered to our students.
Our vision is to have responsible, independent thinkers with an enthusiastic attitude to learning. We promote this attitude in both students and staff and believe we provide the levels of support and the emotional climate to achieve this vision.
The greatest impact made on a child's learning during the school day is that of the classroom teacher. At Maungawhau School we aspire to recruit and retain high quality teaching staff who are commited to providing the very best outcomes for children. I am very proud of the calibre of our staff and the passion they show for teaching and learning.
