ESOL

Welcome to the homepage designated to students of other languages.

At Maungawhau School we are fortunate to have students who come from countries all around the world. Each of these students bring experiences and stories that add to the knowledge and learning of us all. Many second language students work in the ESOL room at set times during the week.

The ESOL room is situated in the walkway between rooms 5 and 11 and Diana Mobberley, the teacher who oversees the literacy learning of second language students, has her office and teaching space there.

Diana can be contacted by phone through the school office or by email at dianam@maugawhau.school.nz. Tanya Patterson, a support worker in the school, also works with second language learners in their first two years at school.
