We are excited to offer our local Early Childhood Centres the opportunity to visit us on our Transition to School Open Mornings each term to ensure that our new students feel secure in starting at our school with increased confidence and a greater understanding of school life.

These open morning visits are in addition to the personalised pre-school visits that each new child will have with their New Entrant teacher closer to their own school start date – (our Student Administrator, Karen Blanchard, will be in touch to arrange this).

We ask that only children who are at a minimum of 4.6 – 5 years old attend, as these visits will be in established New Entrant/Year One classrooms.

If you are going to visit us for the open morning could you please email our Transition to School Team Leader (Liz Lapish) at lizl@maungawhau.school.nz to confirm the number of children who will be attending. Please confirm by 30 May.

We Need your Pre-Loved Fashion & Accessories

    Ladies,
Get ready we have a new event on the calendar! Keep Saturday Night – 30 June free. Lock the other half into sitting duties as it’s a ladies only event & not just for the school community but for the wider community, friends, and family too!
It’s all about fashion & grace, with expert advice from stylists on the night, catwalk showcases, designer pop-up shops, hair/ makeup & accessories, make-overs, raffles & much more….did we mention cocktails?!
As part of our fashion evening, we will be doing a pre-loved (high-end/vintage) pop-up shop and that’s where you can also help contribute. We are after those nicer items in your wardrobe that you no longer want but would be treasured by someone else. We’re after women’s clothing only, accessories, shoes, handbags etc – all in good condition!

With the change of season, it’s a good time to tidy up those wardrobes and make room for some newer pieces.
If you (or anyone you know) have items you want to donate, please drop them off at the office from the start of term 2.
We’ll be letting you know more information about the event and tickets at the beginning of Term 2.
