Things to keep the kids busy after school
Maungawhau School operates its own OSCAR programme before and after school in our school hall. For further information please contact our OSCAR Director Joseph Tyrell. In addition to OSCAR, there are various clubs that run within our school grounds or in our local community.
Performance – there are various companies that offer sessions in and out of our school
Performance.net – School Discover Centre on Wednesday’s from 3.30pm till 7pm
Dance – Raw Dance (special deal for “buy 1 get 1 free class for 2020”)
Lewis Eady Music School – One on one and group music lessons on guitar, ukulele, piano and keyboard (year 3, 4, 5 and 6 each day from 12.40pm)
Playball – Maungawhau School Tuesday 3.15 – 4pm (ages 5-9)
Lego Club – Bricks4kidz (LEGO® Robotics Club) – Thursdays and Fridays in the library from 3.15pm. Build on your child’s LEGO® experience and take it to the next level with fun, engaging classes.
Flippa Ball – Summer only in Maungawhau School Pool – Open to Year 3, 4, 5 & 6. Tuesday 4 – 6pm training depending on age group.
Games are played on Sundays at St Cuthberts, Dio and Epsom Girls.

Taekwondo – Sejong – Monday & Wednesday 4-5pm at Dominion Rd Memorial Hall (they offer discount for Maungawhau Families and also for multiple children.
Soccer/Football/Futsal – Various clubs operate session in and around our school community.
